Dangerous ICE Cooperation Resolution

New Jersey Revolution has obtained an advanced copy of a resolution that will be proposed by Atlantic County Freeholder Frank Formica at the next freeholder meeting on Tuesday July 30th. A copy of that resolution is available for download below.

This resolution is clearly problematic for a number of reasons. The first of which is the language calling our undocumented community members “aliens”. This is language meant to incite hatred and to represent our neighbors as “others”

The content of this resolution is also appalling in light of our current situation. In a time when ICE is operating child concentration camps within our borders, separating families, and targeting our friends and neighbors it is imperative that we do not cooperate in any form with ICE. These times are a test of our moral character. History is watching us.

If you wish to contact the freeholder board in opposition of this resolution you can email them at  freeholders@aclink.org

You can also reach out to the freeholders at the following phone number 609-645-5900

Finally you can show up at the meeting on the 30th at 4PM to speak against this dangerous proposal. Address follows:

Stillwater Building
201 S. Shore Road
Northfield, NJ 08225

Edit Update: A coalition is forming to oppose this resolution, which does nothing other than insight hatred and possible violence against our neighbors and community members. Details will follow as they develop.
